The Opportunity

This position works out of our Westfield, IN location in the Structural Heart division. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life by designing and providing device and management solutions for treating structural heart disease.

The Site Controller will be responsible for the full range of controllershipresponsibilities including financialplanning,reporting,strategic analysis, and consolidation of site financials.They will stablish andcomply withFinancialcontrols in support of various functional areas covering the following functional areas: Operations, Quality and Engineering, Supply Chain, and Plant Controllership.

This is a site leadership role providing support, advice, strategic and tactical direction to local and divisional management in achieving the annual and long-termobjectivesandassistsin the decision-making process by providing reliable,timelyandaccuratefinancial information.

What You'll Work On

  • Business Support: Provide business support,financial counsel,and direction to site leadership for all functional areas (e.g.Ops/Manuf./Eng./QA/Supply Chain/R&D) and their respective staff.This includes support in the establishment ofgoals, strategies, prioritiesand tactics.
  • Financial Leadership: Set expectations of the financial organization's role in support of the business strategies including alignment with other functional organizations. Manage the development; consolidations; analysis; and explanation/publication of LBE(Latest Best Estimates ~ Forecast). Manage the actual financial accounting and reporting for Functional AreaSupportincluding ensuring the accuracy of financial information and related operationalmetricsincluding comparisons to appropriate benchmarks. Create ad hoc analysis for use in addressing business issues and strategic opportunities.Owns both short- and long-termforecastincludingstandard cost projection, full P&L and Balance Sheet across site.Drives continuous improvement mindset which results in Gross Margin Improvement year over year both short and long term.
  • Management: Direct the Ops Finance SH department; Supervise the department employees and ascertain adherence to Human Resources policies and regulations, including development of department and individual goals and activities, performance evaluations, training and coaching; Advise the Indiana SH Plant Director and other staff managers on financial and non-financial activities that impact, complement or improvethe facilityoperations performance.Nurture and develop talent.
  • Cost Accounting: Direct and manage all the functions and activities associated with the managerial cost accounting section, such as budgets and strategic plans preparation, manufacturing product costing, manufacturing variance (direct labor, material and overhead)analysis, inventory reconciliations, forecasting and projections,etc.Leads standard cost building every year ensuring cost targets are met.
  • Closing and Reporting: Coordinate the timely and accurate preparation of the monthly financial statement, quarterly schedules and year-end financial information packages; Ascertain and assure adherence to the corporate and division due dates for end of the month closing and other financial information requirements; Lead the timely preparation of the monthly performance reports (overhead, absorption and manufacturing variances).
  • Internal Controls & Compliance: Ensure SH operations maintains a strong system of internal accounting controls to ascertain proper segregation of duties, appropriate disbursements of company funds, and safeguarding of all company assets; Develop, implement, review and monitor compliance with company policies, guidelines and procedures, relevant to the finance; Maintain accurate accounting records of payroll, accounts payable, general ledgers, financial statements, cost accounting and other finance records in accordance with record retention policies and schedules.Responsible for adhering to corporate financial policies and managing SOX and other internal/external audit requirements for the site.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor'sDegree Business Administration with Accounting/Finance major
  • Minimum ten years overall experience in FP&A withdemonstratedfinanceleadership experience managing a large manufacturing site or group of sites
  • Proficiencyin computer applicationsproficiency(MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)and SAP.
  • Full knowledge of integrated accounting cycle and information systems;past experiencein both manufacturing and financial accountingrequired.
  • Ability toestablishsystems of internal controls thatcomply withlocal and US (Sarbanes-Oxley) regulations.

  • CPA certification or CMA or MBA with Accounting/Finance major preferred
