About the role
MyEyeDr is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join the Corporate Accounting/General Ledger team in a high-volume, multi-location retail organization. This role blends primary ownership of Long-Term Assets and Lease accounting with broader month-end close and general ledger activities, ad-hoc analyses, and cross-functional projects. Key responsibilities include leading related month-end close activities, reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting external audit requests. The Manager develops and coaches accounting team members, drives process and system improvements, and leads special projects to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
The Manager - Corporate Accounting will be an active mentor and coach to develop members of the accounting team. This position reports to the Senior Director, Corporate Accounting & Indirect Tax who reports to the Senior Vice President, Accounting.
You Will
  • Lead month - end close activities related to long-term assets, leases, capital projects and assigned general ledger areas.
  • Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly project reporting to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Partner cross - functionally with Operations, IT, Real Estate, FP&A, and other stakeholders to improve alignment, decision - making, and understanding of accounting policies.
  • Manage/Support special projects and analytical initiatives, including implementation of the Oracle Fusion Projects Module.
  • Partner with Technical Accounting to evaluate SaaS contracts and cloud computing arrangements for appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Ensure complete and accurate accounting for over 900 office leases in accordance with ASC 842, including new leases, renewals, modifications, expansions, and closures.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and enhance accuracy through automation and system improvements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of two, including workload management, performance development, training, and goal alignment.
  • Oversee financial statement audit support, including preparation of PBC materials, testing selections, and timely responses to auditor inquiries.
  • Design, implement, and monitor effective internal controls, identify control gaps, and partner with management to support progress toward a SOX - compliant environment.

Develop, maintain, and document accounting policies and procedures.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting, MBA plus
  • CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting experience required, with 3+ years of Big 4 public and progressive accounting leadership/manager experience.
  • Retail or optical industry experience preferred (2+ years).
  • Oracle Cloud experience strongly preferred; experience with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP) acceptable .
  • Blackline and ProLease experience preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
