Job description

Job Title:         Product Engineer

Client:              Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration:         12 Months
Location:         Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526
Shift:                1st Shift (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with possible overtime)

Job Summary:

Entry-level engineering role supporting product verification and validation (PV&V) activities. This position focuses on testing, analysis, and evaluation of product performance and reliability, working closely with cross-functional teams in a structured engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate testing and validation activities for product development projects
  • Support design analysis and feasibility testing under guidance of senior engineers
  • Review test results from engineers, technicians, and lab teams to evaluate product performance
  • Identify process gaps and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist in drafting engineering standards, test procedures, and documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain)
  • Prepare reports and presentations on test progress and product performance
  • Maintain technical documentation and ensure data integrity

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural Engineering, or related field

  • Experience with meeting facilitation, note-taking, and issue tracking

Preferred / Nice to Have:

  • Experience in product development environments
  • Exposure to lawn care equipment or off-highway machinery
  • Knowledge of test standards and engineering documentation
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Ability to work across multiple teams/functions
