We are seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Development to support the execution of our M&A and strategic growth agenda in a PE-backed environment. This role spans the full deal lifecycle including sourcing, diligence, financial modeling, deal execution, and closing โ€“ with a particular emphasis on building and managing the sourcing pipeline. The Senior Manager will be expected to develop market maps; identify and screen targets; cultivate relationships with potential targets and other members of the ecosystem; and drive pipeline momentum; while also contributing hands-on to transaction diligence from day one.

This is an execution-oriented role suited for a high-potential professional with ~5 years of experience in private equity, VC / growth equity, corporate development, or investment banking. This Senior Manager will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Go-to-Market, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership to evaluate opportunities, assess strategic and product fit, and determine financial and operational impact. Sourcing and pipeline development will be the largest share of this personโ€™s time initially, but the role requires competency across the full transaction life cycle. Intellectual curiosity and a passion for the details are critical for the role.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing Execution & Pipeline Generation:
โ€ข Drive ideation, proactive sourcing, and prioritization of acquisition and partner opportunities in partnership with the VP
โ€ข Build and maintain market maps and actionable M&A pipeline across priority verticals and product adjacencies
โ€ข Own target list development and pipeline tracking end-to-end
โ€ข Develop outreach materials and drive proactive engagement of outbound opportunities
โ€ข Screen opportunities from bankers, founders, and PE sponsors
โ€ข Manage banker and intermediary relationships at the working level
โ€ข Support and lead meetings with potential targets
โ€ข Produce regular pipeline updates, deal status reporting, and market intelligence summaries for leadership and board

Diligence & Transaction Execution:
โ€ข Support deep internal subject matter expert and customer diligence to evaluate potential acquisition or partner opportunities
โ€ข Evaluate build / buy / partner considerations, strategic fit, product alignment, and financial impact of targets
โ€ข Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, finance, executive leadership, and board to evaluate and advance deals
โ€ข Build financial models, commercial cases, and decision-making frameworks for key stakeholders
โ€ข Prepare and present deal materials to executive leadership and board
โ€ข Support transaction execution and deal structuring including timeline management, process coordination, advisor interactions, and approval workstreams
โ€ข Support closing and post-close integration transition workstreams

Qualifications

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree required
โ€ข ~5 years of progressive experience in private equity, corporate development VC / growth equity, investment banking, or management consulting (transaction / diligence-focused)
โ€ข Demonstrated experience in sourcing, deal origination, commercial and financial diligence
โ€ข PE-backed and software exposure strongly preferred
โ€ข Energized by sourcing and outbound outreach, not just reactive deal work
โ€ข Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; deep financial modeling experience required
โ€ข Superior attention to detail without losing sight of the strategic picture
โ€ข Proven self-starter with the ability to drive multiple large-scale projects and deal executions simultaneously from start to finish, in a deadline-driven setting
โ€ข Sound business judgment and ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
โ€ข Clear, concise, and compelling written and verbal communication
โ€ข Exceptional executive presence, strategic thinking, and ability to partner with and influence senior management and executive stakeholders
โ€ข Motivated by accountability, learning, and increasing responsibility
