As our new Sales Engineer - Data Centers Commercial Business, you will be supporting relationship building and growing sales within the Data Center Vertical by leveraging deep technical knowledge of HVAC and pumping solutions to generate interest, solve complex application challenges, and directly drive revenue across the US and Canada. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Commercial Building Services - Data Center team, you'll create impact by Driving data center market share growth by delivering tailored Grundfos solutions that meet the critical cooling and infrastructure demands of one of the world's fastest-growing industries.
Your main responsibilities include:
  • Develop deep expertise in Grundfos products, applications, and solutions relevant to the data center market, serving as the go-to technical resource for internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Communicate the Grundfos value proposition to data center customers, collaborating closely with the data center team to convert technical advantages into sales wins
  • Manage and grow new and existing customer accounts to increase data center market share and share of wallet across the US and Canada
  • Register and manage opportunities and revenue pipeline in the global CRM tool, ensuring accurate forecasting and alignment with company guidelines
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, partners, end users, and internal stakeholders including CSSC, Operations, and Project Managers
  • Monitor emerging HVAC and control-system technologies in the data-center sector to provide informed, strategic recommendations tailored to each client's operational and efficiency goals

What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a technically sharp sales professional with proven ability to translate complex engineered solutions into compelling customer value, combined with strong relationship-building skills and a drive to win in a high-growth market. We would also imagine that you have:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or other technical discipline, in lieu of degree 3-5 years of industry experience
  • 3-5 years of industrial, commercial, or municipal sales experience or equivalent
  • Proven experience in technical sales or sales engineering, preferably in engineered solutions or industrial products
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies, channel management, and partner relationships

It is a plus if you also:
  • Data center industry experience
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems, pumping applications, and building automation/controls
  • Experience with CRM platforms and business analytics tools

You'll also be available for travelling up to 25 days per year.

The salary range for this position is $68,400.00 - $105,000.00. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate's profile. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. The salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in this region.
