Unit Manager Memory Care – Registered Nurse (RN/LPN) Wanted at CarDon

RNs/LPNs who work an average of 40 hours per week will earn up to $6,000 annually in additional income. Each month that an RN/LPN achieves this hourly goal, $500 extra dollars will be added to their pay.

About the Role

The Unit Manager Memory Care Registered Nurse / Licensed Practice Nurse (RN/LPN) at CarDon and Associates is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and care delivery within the memory care unit, ensuring a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for residents with memory impairments such as dementia and Alzheimer's disease. This role requires strong leadership to manage staff, coordinate care plans, and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies. The Unit Manager will serve as a key liaison between families, healthcare providers, and internal teams to promote resident well-being and satisfaction. They will also be responsible for administrative duties including documentation, scheduling, and resource management to optimize unit efficiency. Ultimately, the role aims to enhance the quality of life for residents through compassionate care and effective team management while supporting organizational goals.

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support memory care staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure high-quality care delivery.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans tailored to the unique needs of residents with memory impairments.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and safety standards within the memory care unit.
  • Coordinate communication between residents' families, healthcare professionals, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as documentation, medical transcription, insurance processing, and use of office equipment to support unit operations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current and valid Nursing License (RN/LPN) in the state of Indiana.
  • Proven experience in a healthcare or memory care management role, preferably within a long-term care or assisted living environment.
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills with the ability to handle complex situations involving resident care and staff management.
  • Proficiency in using office equipment such as copy machines and electronic health record systems.
  • Certification or training relevant to memory care or healthcare administration is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications in dementia care or geriatric nursing.
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to memory care and long-term care facilities.
  • Strong background in conflict resolution and team leadership.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) software and healthcare billing systems.
