Job description

Anderson at Summerfield is looking for LPN's to work in our memory care community. We have full time and part time shifts available, some weekends included.  Pay rate starting at $24/Hr. Weekend shift differential of $3.00 per hour. No medication administration.

We are looking for reliable, compassionate LPN's to care for our memory care residents in a professional and considerate manner. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm.  Will be responsible for supervision of CNA's while on duty.

Responsibilities

  • Record resident medical history accurately utilizing electronic medical records systems
  • Observe treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
  • Monitor resident condition and assist in composition of care plans and needs
  • Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
  • Communicate with residents’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and instructions

Skills

  • Proven experience as LPN or similar role in an assisted living community or long-term care facility
  • Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
  • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with computerized EMARs required 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and able to calmly handle stressful situations
  • Experience with dementia/memory loss preferred but not required
  • Successful completion of LPN license program. Licensure in LA required.
Must be able to pass background and drug screen.
