At the Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. The Business Services organization at the Central Plateau Cleanup Company is seeking a data-driven professional to lead AI and data analytics training and implementation initiatives. In addition to driving digital transformation, this position will oversee two departments within Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), with responsibility. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on expertise in data science, machine learning, and analytics with exceptional leadership, training, and communication skills.
We are seeking a results-oriented leader to oversee two departments within CPCCo and spearhead AI and data analytics training and implementation CPCCo. The successful candidate will empower our workforce with advanced technologies, drive digital transformation, and ensure effective collaboration and leadership. Technical proficiency, training expertise, and cross-functional leadership are essential for success in this role.
* Department Oversight & Leadership:
- Provide effective leadership and direction for two CPCCo departments, strengthening internal controls and fostering exceptional service and teamwork.
- Lead, mentor, and review performance of the assigned departments, ensuring development and engagement.
- Perform personnel management tasks including coaching, delegating, supporting career growth, and conducting performance reviews.
- Ensure company and department compliance with applicable contractual direction, DOE Orders, and federal and state laws and regulations.
* Program Strategy & Implementation:
- Develop and deliver AI and data analytics training for staff at all levels, tailored to site needs and focused on technology adoption and skill development.
- Guide teams through the implementation and integration of digital solutions into operations, safety, and business processes.
- Participate in designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive program policies, standards, procedures, and supporting technology solutions.
- Identify, plan, document, and implement automation and technology solutions, following company policies and procedures.
* Collaboration & Communication:
- Cultivate cross-functional collaboration with operations, IT, Core functions, and management teams to align training, technology, and business strategies.
- Support management in timely and quality closure of actions, successfully managing priorities, projects, deadlines, and delegation oversight.
- Represent the organization as the business or technical contact for projects at various levels, often requiring coordination across departments.
- Advise company leadership on software, technology, and information management solutions.
- Participate in cross-contractor teams to develop One Hanford solutions and represent company input during joint contractor projects.
* Continuous Improvement & Customer Service:
- Promote excellent internal and external customer service, demonstrating adaptability and multi-tasking capabilities to meet routine or urgent demands.
- Monitor emerging trends in AI, machine learning, and analytics, recommending solutions to enhance operations.

* Performance Measurement & Change Management:

- Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
* Manager Grade 22 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 12 years of relevant experience.
* Manager Grade 23 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 14 years of relevant experience.
The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
Desired Qualifications
* At least 2 years of experience leading teams or departments in a technical or business environment.
* Experience with data science, machine learning, or analytics tools and technologies.
* Proven track record of developing and delivering AI or data analytics training programs.
* Demonstrated success in implementing at least 1 large-scale digital or automation project within an organization.
* Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations, IT, and management, on 3 or more complex projects.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):
* Grade 22: $137,150 - $240,000.
* Grade 23: $157,700 - $276,250.
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
