Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Junior Telecom Estimator and be at the forefront of innovative telecommunications projects! In this energetic role, you will assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for telecom infrastructure and construction projects, ensuring all aspects-from electrical systems to site management-are accounted for. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in construction estimating, project management, and contract negotiations within a fast-paced industry. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help drive successful project outcomes while supporting our commitment to excellence and safety.

Responsibilities

Support the estimating lifecycle for telecommunications and low-voltage RFPs.

Assist with digital quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam and related platforms.

Gather, organize, and compare vendor and subcontractor pricing.

Prepare estimate backup documentation, BOQs/BOMs, and bid summaries.

Maintain estimate logs, bid calendars, and organized digital files.

Support site walks, scope reviews, and pre-bid research activities.

Track estimating KPIs such as quote coverage, deadlines, and accuracy.

Communicate clearly with senior estimators, vendors, and internal teams.

Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for telecom construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes.

Support negotiation efforts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.

Contribute to cost control initiatives by analyzing project budgets and identifying potential savings opportunities.

Help compile comprehensive bid packages, including contracts, scope of work, and project timelines, supporting effective project management from inception to completion.

Skills

Tech-savvy; comfortable using AI tools and Microsoft 365.

Strong organizational discipline and documentation habits.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume bid environment.

Familiarity with contract management, project management practices, and cost control strategies.

Effective communication skills to coordinate across teams and stakeholders effectively
