The Outside Contract Sales Representative is responsible for generating and growing B2B sales within designated commercial sectors such as real estate development, hospitality, multifamily housing, and corporate spaces.

Outova, headquartered in the Dallas/Fort Worth (Texas), is seeking a contracted Outside Contract Sales Representative to join the team. This contract role is specific to the Chicago, IL Territory.

Position Overview:

The Outside Contract Sales Representative is responsible for generating and growing B2B sales within designated commercial sectors such as real estate development, hospitality, multifamily housing, and corporate spaces. This role focuses on building long-term relationships with architects, designers, builders, and procurement teams to offer premium outdoor living solutions tailored to large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key commercial clients, including developers, architects, design firms, and procurement companies.
  • Promote and sell outdoor living products (e.g., contract-grade furniture, grills, outdoor kitchens, firepits, turf) for commercial environments.
  • Conduct site visits and consultations to assess project scope and recommend product solutions.
  • Lead presentations, respond to RFPs/RFQs, and provide quotes and proposals.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., logistics, operations, and design) to ensure successful project execution.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product lines, specs, and market trends.
  • Manage a sales pipeline using CRM software, ensuring consistent follow-up and accurate forecasting.
  • Support contract negotiation and project coordination through closeout.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of proven B2B sales experience in the contract/commercial industry.
  • Background in furniture, outdoor living, or luxury product categories strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage long sales cycles and complex project requirements.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with construction documents, project timelines, and procurement processes.
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial drive and excellent time management.
  • Must reside in Chicago, IL or surrounding area.

Physical Activities:

Daily activity includes but is not limited to:

  • Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of a computer, phone, and other office equipment.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and bending during meetings, events, and warehouse/factory visits.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs. (e.g., marketing materials, product samples, trade show displays).
  • Ability to travel domestically for trade shows, client visits, and industry events.
  • Work may involve extended hours during peak project timelines or events.

Compensation and Benefits:
