Position Overview
Crouch Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Contract Recruiter to support recruiting and staffing needs in the Waco area. This position will manage the full recruitment cycle for a variety of roles, including warehouse, manufacturing, skilled trades, maintenance, technical, and professional positions.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple openings simultaneously, proactively sourcing qualified candidates, and maintaining consistent communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. This is a fully onsite position in Waco, Texas.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from candidate sourcing through onboarding.
  • Recruit candidates for warehouse, manufacturing, skilled trades, maintenance, technical, and professional positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers and clients to understand job requirements, staffing priorities, hiring timelines, and candidate qualifications.
  • Write and post clear, accurate, and engaging job advertisements.
  • Proactively source candidates through job boards, resume databases, social media, referrals, networking, community partnerships, and direct outreach.
  • Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates.
  • Conduct detailed phone, virtual, and in-person interviews.
  • Evaluate candidates’ work history, technical experience, skills, availability, pay expectations, and long-term employment goals.
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Complete reference checks and coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and other pre-employment requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely candidate records within the applicant tracking system.
  • Assist with onboarding and new-hire documentation.
  • Follow up with newly hired employees to support retention and address potential concerns.
  • Attend job fairs, hiring events, and community recruiting events as needed.
  • Meet established recruiting, hiring, and placement goals without sacrificing candidate quality.
  • Provide regular updates regarding recruiting progress, candidate pipelines, market challenges, and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
Qualifications
  • Previous recruiting experience is required.
  • Experience recruiting for warehouse, manufacturing, skilled trades, maintenance, engineering, technical, or professional positions is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in staffing, high-volume recruiting, or contract recruiting is preferred.
  • Strong candidate sourcing, screening, and interviewing skills.
  • Ability to understand technical job requirements and accurately evaluate candidate qualifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple job openings, candidates, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Comfortable making a high volume of outbound recruiting calls and communicating with candidates through phone, email, and text.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, online job boards, Microsoft Office, and general recruiting technology.
  • Professional, dependable, and able to maintain confidential employee and candidate information.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Waco, Texas, Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Preferred Experience
  • Recruiting for positions such as material handlers, forklift operators, production associates, warehouse associates, welders, fabricators, machinists, maintenance technicians, electricians, mechanics, engineers, and other technical professionals.
  • Familiarity with Central Texas employment trends and the Waco-area labor market.
  • Experience coordinating pre-employment screenings and onboarding documentation.
  • Experience building relationships with trade schools, colleges, workforce organizations, and community recruiting partners.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems and online sourcing platforms.
