Marathon Petroleum is seeking a Law Contract Lifecycle Management Analyst. This position serves as a member of the Law Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) Center of Excellence, responsible for business support, training material development and presentation, contract template creation, metadata capture, data integrity, access governance, compliance with internal and external controls, including SOX requirements, and technical issue resolution related to the Sirion contract management system.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as the custodian of contract documents and records ensuring proper storage, organization, retrieval, retention, and disposal of contract files and related documentation throughout the CLM lifecycle.
  • Create and modify legal contract templates for use and selection within the Sirion contract management system.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address contract-related issues & provide necessary documentation & information, address counterparty issues, risks, user access issues and concerns, and identify areas for improvement to ensure effective contract management operations.
  • Support internal and external audits, compliance, litigations, hold orders, and confidential business development projects by identifying and providing required contract information and documentation.
  • Support the CLM Operations and business stakeholders in managing counterparty-related aspects of contracts in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Manage user provisioning and access within the Sirion system, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and conduct regular access reviews & collaborate with User Access Management to address access-related issues.
  • Manage counterparty module including creation of new counterparties and local counterparties.
  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system and integration issues related to counterparties, legal entities, insurance, hold orders, and other connected platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Perform system testing for releases, enhancements, and defect remediation to ensure system stability and compliance with requirements.
  • Ensure contract compliance, performance reporting, issue / risk management, and contract reporting and metrics within the system.
  • Develop and present training materials and related content.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, best practices, and ensure efficient & effective contract management operations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree and two (2) or more years of relevant or industry-related experience; or Associate's degree with four (4) years of experience in lieu; or six (6) years of experience in lieu.
  • Education & Training desired in law, compliance, supply chain, business management, or other relevant fields.
  • Relevant certifications in contract management or related areas preferred.
  • Experience supporting systems or processes subject to SOX or other regulatory compliance requirements is a plus.
  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools is beneficial.
