Position: Retail Banking Procedure Analyst
Job Type: Full Time/ Part Time
Department: Branch Administration

Reports To: AVP, Retail Branch Operations
OVERVIEW:

The Retail Banking Procedure Analyst supports the Retail division by maintaining, improving, and implementing operational procedures and process enhancements. This role is responsible for documenting workflows, analyzing business processes, and coordinating updates to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance across retail banking operations.

This position partners with internal stakeholders, including Retail leadership, Risk, and Audit, to support process improvements and ensure procedures align with business needs and regulatory expectations. This role contributes to projects and initiatives by gathering requirements, supporting implementation efforts and tracking progress.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop, update, and maintain retail banking procedures and standard operating documentation.
  2. Coordinate the review and approval process for procedural updates with appropriate stakeholders.
  3. Support ongoing maintenance of procedure libraries and ensure version control and accessibility.
  4. Partner with Retail, Risk, and Audit teams to incorporate feedback from audits, risk assessments, and regulatory changes.
  5. Analyze existing processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements.
  6. Assist in the implementation of process changes, system updates, and operational initiatives.
  7. Support project activities by documenting requirements, tracking milestones, and communicating updates.
  8. Prepare routine and ad hoc reports related to procedures, projects, and process improvements.
  9. Participate in meetings to gather information, document outcomes, and follow up on action items.
  10. Monitor and track assigned initiatives to ensure timely completion.
  11. Serve as a point of contact for procedural questions and clarification across Retail teams.
  1. Ensure all documentation aligns with organizational standards and regulatory expectations.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

POSITIONS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in banking operations, process documentation, or business analysis
  • 8+ years of overall professional experience preferred
  • Experience documenting procedures, workflows, or process maps
  • Strong written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of process improvement concepts
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work environment consists of typical office conditions with moderate noise level.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must have the physical ability to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds. Must have the ability to adjust focus.
