Job Summary:
Daikin Austria is seeking an Analyst 2 - Pricing to collect, consolidate, and analyze sales and pricing data for HVAC products. The role involves evaluating product pricing, analyzing competitor pricing, and providing analytical support to internal teams and executives.
Responsibilities:
• Leverage advanced knowledge of Mapics and Mincron systems to accurately review, revise, and update product attributes and associated pricing.
• Analyze sales, pricing, and margin data to recommend strategies that enhance pricing models and drive sales growth.
• Conduct in-depth analyses of new and existing customer data to identify pricing trends and competitive advantages.
• Assess pricing and product positioning relative to the marketplace to evaluate profitability and recommend adjustments where necessary.
• Collaborate with divisional leaders to consolidate and analyze pricing data for strategic planning.
• Provide continuous support to field sales teams with data-driven recommendations on pricing and promotional decisions.
• Ensure the integrity of base pricing and maintain the accuracy of price books within the company’s ERP systems.
• Review and revise price books to guarantee up-to-date and accurate pricing information.
• Serve as a point of contact for customer pricing inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Work closely with Marketing to verify base and distributor pricing prior to product launches.
• Develop and maintain pricing models that track the impact of pricing decisions on sales performance and profitability.
• Assist with various ad hoc analyses in support of pricing and marketing strategies.
• Assist with special projects and duties as assigned.
• Continuously support business needs through data analysis and strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with the Credit Group to review and approve invoice credits, price adjustments, and exceptions.
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance pricing accuracy and profitability.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 4+ years of relevant experience in pricing analysis or a related field.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Extensive knowledge of Mapics and Mincron systems for reviewing, revising, and updating product attributes and pricing.
• Strong ability to consolidate, analyze, and communicate pricing-related recommendations across all ERP systems.
• Expertise in analyzing data on established customers, product positioning, and pricing trends to determine profitability.
• Proficiency in evaluating product pricing relative to the marketplace, making recommendations for pricing adjustments as needed.
• Ability to maintain the integrity of base pricing and revise price books for accuracy.
• Skilled in developing models to track and report sales performance in relation to pricing decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with Marketing, Sales, and Credit teams.
• Ability to apply good judgment, a strong work ethic, and integrity to all aspects of the job.
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
