Litigation Paralegal
Pay Rate: $40 to $50 per hour DOE
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire, Full-Time, Onsite for the first 45 days then hybrid 3 days onsite
LHH is partnering with a national law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal on a contract-to-hire basis to support a busy business litigation practice in Downtown Los Angeles. This role requires a hands-on paralegal with strong trial preparation experience and the ability to manage matters from pleadings through trial. There is strong potential for conversion based on performance and business need.
Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, from initial pleadings through trial support
  • Prepare for trial, including trial binders, witness files, exhibit preparation, and trial logistics
  • Independently handle court filings and ensure compliance with deadlines in state and federal courts
  • Draft pleadings, correspondence, discovery materials, and other legal documents
  • Organize, maintain, and manage case files and litigation calendars
  • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, and court personnel
  • Support discovery processes
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal; strong business litigation background preferred
  • Trial preparation experience required
  • Paralegal certification required
  • Strong knowledge of California state and federal court filing procedures
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with eDiscovery tools is a plus, not a requirement
