Job description

Job Requirements
This paralegal position supports the Office of the General Counsel's Labor & Employment practice group. The successful applicant must have excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as experience:
  • Working as a paralegal in a litigation or administrative (EEOC/MCCR) practice.
  • Composing professional correspondence, memos and reports.
  • Proofreading and correcting prepared materials for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, syntax and content.
  • Collecting, organizing, and preparing exhibits.
  • Managing dockets.
  • Reviewing documents and creating outlines, timelines, and other summary materials.
  • Assisting attorneys with matter tracking and management in electronic software platforms.
  • Organizing and maintaining files.

Work Experience
Paralegal experience in an administrative or litigation practice. Experience in labor and employment preferred. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work in collegial, but busy legal practice.
Education and Experience
1. High School Diploma is required.
2. Associates Degree in relevant applicable field is preferred.
3. Five years of experience as a paralegal and/or law clerk is required. Admission to the Maryland State Bar may be substituted for one year of experience
4. Certificate in Paralegal Studies is preferred.
5. Health care experience is preferred.
