Description
Project Management is looking for JMO and degreed technical leaders to join their team. They have established a set of assignments that rotates through the three major Sections in the Department - Long Term Programs, Complex Projects and the Project Management Office. The rotations will consist of hands-on experience, formal classroom and web-based training, factory familiarization visits, and field assignments at power generation outages. At the completion of the rotations, employees will be placed in a Section based upon mutual interests and vacancies!
The curriculum is developed into 5 Phases
  • Onboarding and General Familiarization training - 6 weeks
  • OTJ Rotation in PMO - 16 weeks
  • OTJ Rotation in LTP - 16 weeks
  • OTJ Rotation in Complex Projects - 16 weeks
  • Advanced technical training - 4 weeks
  • There will be at least one field assignment of approximately 4 weeks included in the above rotation.
  • Candidates will be placed with senior Project Managers or Commercial Project Managers in the various Sections to learn the essential functions within the groups.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Candidates who successfully complete the curriculum will be placed in the North American PM organization.
  • Establish effective communication with partners regarding regular project updates, design reviews, factory testing, and witness points.
  • Follow the manufacture and delivery of Power Plant upgraded equipment including gas turbines, low pressure turbines, high pressure turbines, generators, exciters, etc.
  • Maintain and control project financials including emergent contract issues, change orders, etc.
  • Develop Plans to deliver Quality and Risk Management for the project.
  • Implement Zero-Harm directives for overall project safety performance.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Looking for JMO technical leaders
  • BS in Engineering or Science discipline preferred, not required
  • Candidates must exhibit excellent leadership skills and experiences and communicate a strong track record of success and results.
  • Ability to form strong genuine relationships with coworkers and customers!
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
