We're looking for a Hardware Sourcer (Contract) to join our Talent Team at MatX. This role is a contract role, but an exceptional performer could transition to a full-time role. You'll be directly responsible for identifying and engaging exceptional engineering and hardware talent. You'll partner directly with hiring managers to hone in on needs, to fill the talent pipeline with the right talent to propel MatX forward.

What You'll Do Here

  • Hire and source for specialized Semiconductor and Hardware engineering roles that span product development cycle from architecture to various functional engineering roles, including design, validation, testability, silicon physical design, system hardware design, infrastructure-as-code, customer support, and product deployment
  • Previous experience sourcing for ASIC, SOC, Silicon Design, Silicon Architecture, Security and Verification highly preferred
  • Hire for specialized Semiconductor and Hardware engineering roles supporting AI silicon, ASIC, SOC, Silicon Design, Silicon Architecture, Security and Verification. 
  • Partner closely with leadership and hiring managers to understand hiring needs, required skills, and role-specific qualifications
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines through proactive sourcing and long-term candidate relationship building
  • Adapt quickly to shifting hiring priorities in a dynamic, high-growth startup environment
  • Provide regular, data-driven updates to leadership on pipeline metrics and candidate progress
  • Have a proven track record of scaling and building diverse and high-performing teams
  • Ensure timely, clear, and thoughtful communication with candidates throughout the early hiring stages
  • Communicate hiring process bottlenecks to the talent lead and leadership to maintain pipeline health and achieve hiring goals
  • Ensure a world-class, professional, and highly responsive journey for every candidate 

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications in relevant Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications, Marketing, Human Resources/Organizational Behavior, or a related field, with equivalent practical experience 
  • 3+ years of experience in technical sourcing, ideally supporting hardware, systems, at post Series B startups
  • Comfortable sourcing for specialized engineering roles supporting AI silicon, including 
  • Prior experience sourcing in startup or high-growth environments, and can quickly ramp up
  • Strong working knowledge of Greenhouse or Ashby
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • This is a hybrid role that will require you to work from our Mountain View, CA office 3 days a week on Tuesday through Thursday
Compensation:
  • This is a contract role with negotiable payment terms (biweekly or monthly), paid hourly 
  • This position has the potential to convert to a full-time (hybrid onsite) role
