Job description

The Indianapolis Colts are seeking to to hire a Social Media Intern to support the team's social media content creation, publishing, and coverage efforts across Indianapolis Colts digital platforms. The role assists the social media team with content capture, platform monitoring, content organization, and gameday execution while gaining hands-on experience in professional sports content production and digital storytelling.
The position works closely with the Social Media Coordinator and Senior Manager, Social Media to support content initiatives, real-time coverage, and day-to-day social media operations across Colts-owned channels
This role requires creativity, curiosity, and a passion for learning how content, platforms, and audiences evolve.
MANAGER
Senior Manager of Social Media
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support content creation and social media execution. Assist with content capture, editing, publishing preparation, and day-to-day content support across Colts social channels.
  • Assist with gameday and event coverage. Support content collection, publishing, and operational needs during games, practices, NFL events, and organizational activations.
  • Monitor trends, platform updates, and emerging creator behaviors. Track emerging trends, platform features, fan conversations, and creator best practices while surfacing opportunities that may inform future content and experimentation efforts.
  • Support content organization and workflow processes. Help maintain content libraries, organize assets, track deliverables, and assist with project coordination across the social media team.
  • Contribute to a collaborative content environment. Participate in brainstorming sessions, creative development discussions, and team projects while gaining exposure to social media strategy, content production, and digital audience development.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Strong interest in social media, digital content, and professional sports
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and YouTube
  • Basic understanding of content creation, photography, video editing, or graphic design
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced team environment
  • Knowledge of football and the NFL preferred
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and gamedays as required
