The Manager, Knowledge Discovery & Learning Content Development will be responsible for leading, managing and executing communications strategy and planning for key corporate initiatives that'll raise brand awareness, inform, educate and influence internal and external audiences. The person in this role needs to be able to respond to needs in a fast-paced environment while also proactively planning and leading the development to meet ambitious and growing corporate initiatives that are evolving as rapidly as we are.

This includes partnering to develop and implement communication strategies, crafting high-quality content and leading the development of effective training and sales enablement materials. The individual will foster an environment of collaboration and work closely with company executives, subject matter experts and other stakeholders to research needs and understand subject matter. They will then strategically craft well-designed content into a narrative that simplifies concepts, motivates for engagement, and facilitates easy adoption to meet business goals, seeing it through to completion and effective deployment.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Leads the strategy and execution of key corporate initiative programs for both internal and external stakeholders with ownership of training and sales enablement materials.

  • Collaborates with business partners to research and translate complex concepts into well-crafted memorable and emotionally relevant content.

  • Builds communications and materials that meet specialized needs while ensuring a singular, compelling brand message across any medium, including internal and external channels.

  • Sets the standards for overall tone, visual storytelling approaches and campaigns to create engagement, ensuring cohesion across the program experience, while meeting business goals.

  • Provides servant-style leadership, setting the plan and providing content and timely direction with cross-functional partners in way that facilitates easy enablement and maintains engagement, while holding others accountable.

  • Positions and optimizes resources and processes to deliver high quality results.

  • Tracks and reports out on progress of programs and campaigns.

  • Generates steady supply of ideas to creatively meet business needs in new and profound ways.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have the following education or experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required, degree focus in English, Journalism, Communications, Educational Technology, Learning Design, or Instructional Design & Technology; related field is preferred or relevant years of experience

  • 5+ years of experience developing and executing communications with a focus on training content

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to develop learning plans and communicate ideas and concepts creatively and concisely

  • Passion for finding new and creative ways to reach an audience

  • Ability to set vision and lead cross-functional teams in a highly collaborative way from concept through execution, serving as an individual contributor, strategic collaborator and program leaders as needed.

  • Proven experience with integrated marketing campaigns that use a mix of media (emails, job aids, sell sheets, webinars and in-person presentations, on-demand training modules, infographics, video, etc.) deployed in a strategic way to achieve results.

  • Aptitude for breaking up content and setting effective content hierarchy to pace content for the reader and facilitate the proper takeaway, even from a quick read.

  • Strong leadership and project management skills with ability to multi-task.

  • Must be able to, with or without accommodation, perform the essential functions which include, but are not limited to seeing, hearing, typing, and speaking

  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail, combined with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to learn new platforms and applications.

  • Experience with instructional design, learning management systems, Articulate 360 platforms, UI/UX design, HTML, and SharePoint a plus.

  • Previous experience supporting internal, B2B and customer audiences is preferred.

  • Demonstrates understanding of GEICO's business and industry.

  • Adheres to GEICO Code of Conduct, company policies, and operating principles

  • Meets attendance standard at business location to perform necessary job functions and to facilitate interaction with management and co-workers.

Annual Salary

$88,150.00 - $157,850.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
