Job Title: Business Development Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager with a strong background in private equity, M&A, and professional services marketing. This role will play a key part in driving the firm's growth by supporting business development and marketing initiatives, managing pitch materials, and collaborating with attorneys and firm leadership to execute strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Director of Marketing & Brand Strategy to implement business development plans aligned with firm priorities.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and target clients.

  • Support integration and business development efforts for strategic lateral hires.

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the firm's services, sectors, and key clients.

  • Lead the development of proposals, RFPs, and client-facing materials.

  • Manage legal directory submissions (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500) and league table contributions (e.g., PitchBook).

  • Evaluate and manage sponsorships, partnerships, and events to maximize ROI.

  • Maintain and update marketing materials, attorney bios, and practice group descriptions.

  • Contribute to content and thought leadership strategies.

  • Mentor junior marketing staff and support best practices across BD initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.

  • 5 7 years of business development or marketing experience in a law firm or professional services environment.

  • Strong project management, research, and communication skills.

  • Ability to influence and collaborate with attorneys and senior stakeholders.
