Job Description
SUMMARY
The Senior Associate Writer & Content Creator will develop high-quality written and multimedia content covering private markets, including private credit, private equity, secondaries, real assets, real estate, and infrastructure. This role combines subject matter expertise with content strategy, thought leadership support, social media collaboration, and video production. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller who can translate complex investment concepts into compelling content that engages sophisticated audiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Development & Storytelling
  • Create compelling long-form and short-form content, including articles, thought leadership pieces, white papers, scripts, and campaign assets.
  • Develop social media content in partnership with the digital team that amplifies larger content initiatives and extends audience reach.
  • Support the creation and execution of original content series across multiple channels.
  • Translate complex private markets topics into clear, engaging, and audience-focused narratives.

Strategic Content & Campaign Support
  • Partner closely with the Ares' Private Wealth team to support priority business initiatives and thought leadership campaigns.
  • Develop content that aligns with strategic marketing objectives and audience engagement goals.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across channels and content formats.

Performance Optimization Support
  • Monitor content performance and engagement metrics.
  • Leverage audience insights and data to refine content strategies and improve effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with digital and analytics teams to optimize content distribution and audience targeting.

Video Production Support
  • Support video content development from planning through post-production.
  • Assist with shoot planning, script writing, briefing materials, interview preparation, and production logistics.
  • Coordinate post-production review cycles and stakeholder feedback.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
  • Partner effectively with senior leadership, investor relations, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders and priorities while maintaining high editorial standards.
  • Build strong relationships across marketing, communications, digital, and business teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5-7 years of experience within an alternative investment firm, asset management firm, wealth management organization, or financial services company.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across multiple formats and channels.
  • Deep understanding of private markets across strategies, content strategy, audience segmentation, and content marketing best practices.
  • Familiarity with video production processes, including scripting, shoot planning, and post-production workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders, including legal and compliance, senior leaders and investor relations teams to navigate complex review processes.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$130,000 - $150,000
