Parkhill is seeking to hire a Professional Civil Engineer with a specialization in Aviation to join our growing team! This opportunity will be in our Oklahoma City office. This position is responsible for overseeing engineering design in compliance with applicable codes and standards, reviewing and sealing engineering work, mentoring technical staff, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders. This is a full-time position, paid bi-weekly on a salary basis.

Parkhill is one of the largest architectural and engineering firms in the Southwest with14offices located throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.ย 

Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with team members to develop proposals, scopes, and fees.
  • Serve as Engineer-of-Record on aviation civil design projects.
  • Prepare, review, and seal engineering calculations, plans, and specifications.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and code compliance across all phases of civil design.
  • Apply sound engineering judgment to solve complex site layout, grading, drainage, and utility challenges.
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers in civil engineering principles and software tools (e.g., Civil 3D).
  • Coordinate with permitting agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure environmental and FAA compliance.
  • Support proposal development and technical content for business development pursuits.
  • Engage in internal design reviews, peer QA/QC checks, and client technical meetings.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry codes, technologies, and aviation design practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Professional engineer registration (PE) in OK.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and civil design software.
  • Strong working knowledge of FAA design standards, stormwater management, and site development.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the technical design of aviation or transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform engineering work independently and ethically, with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations, construction practices, and workplace safety standards.
