Job Description

The candidate chosen for this role will be tasked with application development and support for the client's Microsoft SharePoint Services within the internet, intranet, and extranet sites. This position will also be involved in migrating from our existingSharePoint 2003 collaboration environment, our SharePoint 2007 Web Content Management environment and our SharePoint2010 Search environment to a new SharePoint 2013 environment. 
Responsibilities may include: 
- Be responsible for SharePoint application design, development, customizations, and deployment. 
- Be required to gather business requirements, perform analysis, design a solution that meets customer's needs, and develop custom solutions. 
- Be tasked with creating custom administration tools to be used by the SharePoint administrators. 
- Be required to create detailed documentation for all custom developed applications. 
- Be required to use services such as Team Foundation Server ( TFS ) to manage all applications. 
- Utilize tools such as Metalogix to migrate content from existing SharePoint 2003/2007 sites to SharePoint 2013. 
- Perform code reviews for other groups developing modules for use within the SharePoint environment. 
- Create standard Application Program Interface ( API ) modules that can be utilized by other development groups within the client's org.
- Evaluate new features within SharePoint and identify ways to exploit these features. 
Qualifications - Basic/Required: 
- Considerable knowledge and experience with SharePoint 
- Knowledge of site definitions, InfoPath, web part development, and master pages 
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Database ( Ver 2008 / 2012 ) 
- Experience using virtual desktops in a development environment 
- Proven track record of working in a large SharePoint environment. 
- Ability to work as a member of a global support team. 
- 3+ years of experience with SharePoint 2003 / 2007/ 2010/ 2013. 
- 3+ years experience with ASP.NET development. 
- Extensive knowledge and understanding in SharePoint 2003 / 2007 / 2010/ 2013. 
- Deploying SharePoint features and solutions. Configuring and Customizing SharePoint. JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and CSS. 
- Experience in object oriented software development methodologies and practices. 
- Strong knowledge in PowerShell development. 
- Good documentation and analytical skills. 
- Good verbal and written communication skills. 
- Good team and independent work skills. 
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills. 
- Ability to communicate well, understand business needs and turn requirements into reality. 
- Aptitude for providing exceptional customer service even when the environment becomes fast-paced or intense. 
- Strong knowledge of Windows architecture, deployment considerations, and structured development methodologies.
