Job description

Staff Attorney – Mass Torts (Consumer Protection Defense)
Direct Counsel is representing an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a Staff Attorney to join its Mass Torts Practice Group, focusing on consumer protection litigation defense for manufacturers.
This role involves handling matters in state and federal courts and arbitration, with responsibilities across discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation. The attorney will analyze records, prepare case evaluations and settlement recommendations, conduct damages and financial calculations, and manage an active caseload with collaboration from senior litigators.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in warranty defense, insurance defense, product liability, or financial services litigation
  • Strong analytical skills, including damages and settlement calculations
  • Ability to manage multiple active cases independently
  • Licensed and in good standing in California
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills
Remote, part-time, and flexible arrangements are available.
Compensation: $100,000 – $150,000, based on location and experience, plus potential discretionary bonus.
