Jockey is seeking a Consumer Insights Manager to join our Marketing team!

JOB SUMMARY

The Consumer Insights Manager will lead the planning and execution of consumer research.  This position will gather market intelligence, will be the voice of the consumer, and will provide critical consumer insights for the company that will be used to develop new products, improve current products, validate emerging consumer needs, and support brand health/marketing. 

This position will be located at our corporate headquarters in Kenosha, WI (between Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI area).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for initiating, designing, executing, and interpreting primary and secondary data to formulate reports and make recommendations to the Jockey organization. Applies qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret the data and produce substantiated recommendations.
  • Partner with various departments to execute primary research to identify and substantiate business opportunities for Jockey.
  • Develop market research plans and identify qualitative and/or quantitative methodologies to address specific business questions regarding product/brand positioning, pricing, concept testing, etc.
  • Design and field surveys and qualitative guides to ensure the necessary insights are captured in the research.
  • Collaborate with Data Science team to improve data collection/usage across sources.
  • Explore tools in partnership with Data Science team to improve research efficiency.
  • Identify and promote opportunities to partner with Jockey's data science team for more effective discovery of actionable consumer insights.
  • Conduct in-depth data analyses from research.
  • Develop and present research reports containing actionable recommendations to all levels of the organization.
  • Partner with external vendors to deliver insights and needs.
  • Manage Consumer Insights budget.
  • Analyze secondary research data and product actionable reports for internal clients.
  • Provide input in the development of strategies that are developed from insights.
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and provide a forward view to potential impact.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of qualitative and quantitative research experience, supporting product, marketing, and/or brand insight needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (i.e. Research, Data Analytics, Merchandising).
  • Previous experience with syndicated research
  • Experience creating, executing and analyzing quantitative surveys
  • Experience with survey software and tools (i.e. Alchemer, Cint)
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, objectively, and creatively
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects and results and to execute responsibilities independently
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external clients and colleagues effectively virtually or in-person as required
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Time management skills are critical
  • Apparel and/or retail industry experience preferred
  • Some direct or indirect experience managing individuals or teams preferred
  • Experience working with data science/analytics teams preferred
