Job description

We're Hiring: Construction ERP Consultant (Remote)
Remote | Full-Time

You know construction. You know ERP. And you actually like helping people.
Syscon has spent decades helping construction companies get the most out of their ERP systems: implementation, training, ongoing support, and everything in between. We're growing, and we need someone who can walk into a client's world, understand what's broken, and help fix it. Not just the software. The confidence, the process, the people using it.
If you're the kind of consultant who digs in because a client is stuck, who documents things thoroughly because future-you will thank present-you, and who genuinely gets energized by watching someone finally get it, this is your team.
How We Work
We are a we. No ego, no drama, no "not my job." Every person on this team owns their piece and shows up for everyone else's. We ask for help when we need it. We take feedback and use it. We treat every task, even the mundane ones, as a chance to take away a client's pain. That's not a value we hang on the wall. It's just how we operate.
If that sounds like the team you've been looking for, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do

  • Lead client training that actually sticks, adapting your approach to how each person learns
  • Support clients through ERP implementation, system design, and project management
  • Respond to requests with clear action steps and genuine follow-through
  • Help clients navigate key milestones: year-end closings, union rate changes, and software updates
  • Maintain thorough records and procedures that set clients up for long-term success
  • Deliver work aligned with GAAP standards
  • Use Power BI, ERP Report Writers, and query tools to build reports that mean something
What You Bring
Required:
  • 5+ years in construction-specific ERP (Core Accounting, Payroll, Project Management for Specialty Subcontractors)
  • Solid construction accounting knowledge including job costing, WIP balance sheets, union payroll, and progress billing
  • Real experience training and teaching end-users, including building documentation that people actually use
  • Experience maintaining an audit trail for financial transactions and client interactions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and ERP report writing tools
  • Strong time management; you juggle multiple clients without losing the thread
  • Self-starter energy; you don't wait to be told what to do next
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development; this industry keeps moving, and so do we
A strong plus:
  • Experience with Sage 100 Contractor and/or Acumatica (more on this below)
  • Service module experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Information Systems, or equivalent experience
About the Platforms
  • This role works primarily in Sage 100 Contractor and Acumatica.
  • Sage 100 Contractor is the core of our day-to-day work, and fluency here is essential. Acumatica is growing fast, and experience there is a real asset.
  • Have both? That's a dream.
  • Have one? Totally workable.
  • Have neither but deep construction ERP knowledge? Don't count yourself out. We're open to the conversation.
Why Syscon
  • Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Fully remote with a consistent 8 AM to 5 PM (M-F) schedule
  • Unlimited PTO plus medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Dedicated support teams: IT, Business Applications, and scheduling handle the administrative and technical logistics so you can stay focused on clients
  • A team that has your back, collaborative, low-drama, and committed to knowledge-sharing and continuous learning
  • Room to shape the role; we're growing, and the right person will have real influence on how we do things
Ready?
Submit your application today. Selected candidates will be contacted for a conversation about their background and experience.
Syscon also serves as a Managed Services Provider (MSP) and IT consulting firm, giving our clients access to a full IT department, Business Applications team, and office support for scheduling and communications. While this role is focused on ERP consulting, you'll be joining a broader team built to deliver a full range of technology solutions.
*Please, no phone calls or direct inquiries regarding this position.
Syscon, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
