Foley & Lardner has an excellent opportunity available for a detail-oriented candidate looking to enter the legal field.  The Conflicts Researcher will provide research support to our team of Conflicts Analysts and Conflicts Attorneys by utilizing their strong research skills to conduct both internet and database searches.  This person will also perform various administrative tasks in support of our Professional Responsibility & Compliance Department. In addition to strong research and organizational skills, the ability to provide high quality, accurate and efficient work product in a high volume environment is essential. 


  • Perform conflict research related to new business of the firm, using legal conflict research software and other tools to identify corporate affiliations and aliases
  • Process Marketing/Business Development requests and send results to the submitters
  • Process audit letter requests, working with the Compliance Specialist as needed to support the process and answer questions from audit letter business professionals about status of requests
  • Maintain and keep several pending requests organized; be prepared to give updates or provide knowledge about status of requests to submitting assistants or conflicts analysts

  • Bachelor’s Degree required #LI-Hybrid 
  • Minimum of six (6) months of work or internship experience preferred

The actual offered amount will be between the range minimum and midpoint based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.
