Job description

Responsible for installation and alteration of conduit and equipment according to VFP standards.

Essential Duties :

  1. Examine prints for proper conduit size for wire size and number.
  2. Assure boxes, panels, conduit, and equipment are installed according to print.
  3. Train and oversee Conduit helpers.
  4. Check air conditioners for proper installation of junction boxes.
  5. Check print package for change notice.
  6. Check power tools to assure proper working order.
  7. Assure buildings are as complete as possible before moving to next building.
  8. Assure work area is clean before leaving building and at end of shift to include proper storage of tools.
  9. Assure helpers follow proper safety and housekeeping procedures.
  10. Solve problems with prints as necessary.
  11. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  12. Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
  13. Basic knowledge of algebra and geometry and mathematical formulas.
  14. Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
  1. Preferred 1-3 years experience.
  2. License helpful but not required.
