Job description

Job Title: Conduit BenderJob Description

This role focuses on building and installing electrical cabinets, with a strong emphasis on conduit bending, wire pulling, and electrical installations. You will work primarily with Allen Bradley equipment and benefit from having a solid understanding of PLCs and controls, even though you will not perform programming. The position involves significant travel to support installation projects for a major end customer and offers a long-term contract-to-hire opportunity in a growing, family-oriented shop.

Responsibilities
  • Build and assemble electrical cabinets in a brand-new indoor manufacturing shop.
  • Install electrical cabinets at customer sites, including out-of-state locations, for multi-week assignments.
  • Run and bend conduit accurately and efficiently to support electrical installations.
  • Pull wire and complete electrical terminations according to project specifications and blueprints.
  • Work primarily with Allen Bradley equipment and apply knowledge of PLCs and controls to support installation and troubleshooting, without performing programming.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings to ensure precise installation and layout.
  • Follow all safety procedures and best practices while working in the shop and on job sites.
  • Travel approximately 70% of the time, often out of state for a couple of weeks at a time, while maintaining reliability and flexibility in scheduling.
  • Work first-shift hours, typically 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional earlier start times depending on project needs.
  • Collaborate closely with a small team to complete installations on schedule and maintain high-quality workmanship.
Essential Skills
  • 3–5 years of experience in electrical work, focusing on conduit installation and related tasks.
  • Journeyman-level experience in the electrical trade or equivalent practical background.
  • Proficiency in running and bending conduit for industrial or commercial installations.
  • Strong experience pulling wire and supporting full electrical cabinet installations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings accurately.
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley equipment in an industrial or controls environment.
  • Foundational knowledge of PLCs and controls sufficient to support installation and basic troubleshooting (no programming required).
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 70% of the time, including multi-week out-of-state assignments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
