Job description

Utilities Excavator Operator

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator with experience in underground utility installation. This position involves operating excavators and loaders to perform trench work, dig for conduit installation, and work in and around manholes. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and capable of working in a team environment on active construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate excavators and loaders for trenching and conduit installation

Dig trenches to required depths and grades with precision

Install underground conduit in coordination with utility plans

Safely enter and work within manholes when required

Load and move materials around the job site

Ensure job site safety and compliance with OSHA standards

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment

Assist with general labor and site clean-up as needed

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Excavator Operator in utility work

Familiarity with underground conduit installation and trenching

Ability to read site plans and follow specifications

Comfortable working in confined spaces such as manholes

Strong knowledge of equipment safety and maintenance

OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus
