Job description

The Hotel Concierge is a hospitality professional that is responsible for providing a wide range of services and recommendations to hotel guests with a heavy focus on Palms amenities, venues, and experiences but also surrounding area attractions such as tours, transportation, car rentals, excursions, golf arrangements, etc. The Concierge is an outgoing and motivated individual who thrives in a highly interactive environment and is an ambassador of Guest Experience at Palms. The Concierge's high visibility requires a strong sense of professionalism, including the continuous championing of the goals and priorities of the Palms Casino Resort.

Core Responsibilities:

  • or exceed the guests' needs by asking open-ended questions with the intent of assisting guests with an itinerary.

  • Is knowledgeable and confident about all of the Palms venues and proactively sells Palms restaurants, events, nightlife, merchandise, and experiences.

  • Provides outstanding guest service to all guests with an enthusiastic greeting and engages in friendly conversation, while educating, informing and focusing on each guest to drive performance results.

  • Obtains assigned bank and ensures accuracy of contracted monies

  • Documents & assists with all guest questions, requests, complaints or problems

  • Maintains confidentiality of guest information and pertinent property data

  • Remains knowledgeable at all times of all property features, services, and hours of operation

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 21 years of age

  • Minimum 1 year experience preferred, performing same or similar job functions in the Vegas market, preferably at mid-level to luxury hospitality resorts.

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal

  • Outstanding guest service skills

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills

  • Must have the ability to meet or exceed goals, as well as excel in customer service standards.

  • Must be comfortable exchanging names with customers

  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Able to successfully use computers and calculators

  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations quickly and accurately (add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers)

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to work well in a fast paced, multi-tasking, detail-oriented environment.

  • Available to work flexible hours, as needed, including early mornings, overnights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Primary work environment is in a climate- controlled retail setting inside a casino.

  • Strength sufficient to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds below or at waist level and occasionally lift; move or carry objects over 40 pounds below and at waist level with assistance.

  • Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone.

  • Speech is sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, and over the telephone.

  • The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
