Abonmarche is seeking a CAD Manager in our Grand Haven, MI office. Remote work is an option, but the candidate must have the ability to commute to our office location(s) on a regular basis.

Job Summary:
A CAD Manager oversees the research, development, training, management of CAD software, and implementation of CAD standards and procedures across all projects with technical expertise in CAD software.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and implement company-wide specific CAD Standards and procedures which include developing templates, sheet setup and presentation, styles, and file organization and naming to ensure company consistency, branding, and efficiency.
• Stay current on CAD and related software, industry trends, and implement software upgrades and new software to enhance company efficiency and productivity.
• Maintain CAD related software license inventory and assist leadership with license review and renewal process.
• Lead a group of selected individuals to oversee the implementation of CAD Standards for consistency across the organization.
• Be available to attend kickoff meetings on projects, when requested, to provide guidance on CAD Standards, templates, sheet setup, best practices while using the software, etc.
• Be available to review initial plan setups by project teams, when requested by staff, for adherence to CAD Standards and to offer feedback and guidance on any sheet adjustments.
• Prepare list of topics for regular staff training on a monthly basis, at a minimum, and lead the presentation of topics.
• Create a CAD training plan for the onboarding process of new hires and administer the plan for each new hire.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all CAD-related technical issues from staff and the IT Department.
• Collaborate with the IT Department on CAD software installations, updates, upgrades, file structure, storage, archiving, and retrieval of all CAD drawings and related documents.
• Travel to offices on a regular basis to further promote CAD Standards, offer support, and to help troubleshoot issues.
• Provide CAD production support on select projects assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 15 years of relevant direct CAD software experience in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Revit
• Strong familiarity with CAD software relevant to IT infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of drafting principles and industry standards
• Problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and strong communication
• Ability to manage multiple projects and CAD requests
• Data and document management inventory and organization
• Ability to travel to multiple offices
Work Environment:
Typical office environment with travel to other offices as needed to train and support staff. Impromptu meetings with staff via telephone and virtual to discuss CAD issues and to walk them through solutions. Partial remote option available subject to supervisory approval.
