Overview

Description

Summary and Objective

The QA 135 RTS/AWR Inspector is responsible for ensuring all maintenance paperwork for all aircraft, engines, and APU are correct and accounted for. This includes inspections, maintenance, service bulletins, service letters, AD, parts paperwork, 337 and any other pertinent paperwork. Inspectors will ensure RII and airworthiness releases have been annotated. Will file paperwork per company doctrine. Release aircraft back into service.

Essential functions

  • Review all completed inspection and maintenance paperwork turned in by maintenance control for correctness and completeness. Ensure paperwork meets company standards and FAA regulations.
  • RTS aircraft under Part 135, 9 or less aircraft and perform Airworthiness Release on Part 135 aircraft 10 or more aircraft.
  • Update items in work orders and ensure all tracked inspections, maintenance and parts are tracked correctly updated in records tracking system at all times.
  • Ensure electronic copy of completed work packages are attached to computerized MX tracking work order.
  • Ensure RTS paperwork is loaded into Blue Tail electronic records program
  • Ensure all required Service Bulletins are being tracked in company computer tracking system.
  • Ensure all AD are tracked in company computer tracking system by checking the FAA website.
  • Ensure all items in CH4 and 5 of airframe, engine, APU and all other component are being tracked per the applicable maintenance manual and planning documents.
  • For aircraft under CFR Part135.411(a)(2) ensure an airworthiness release is completed and RII items listed in GMM are properly signed off.
  • Ensure the hard copy records are put in the correct aircraft binder and ensure all paperwork is accounted for.
  • Communicate with maintenance control and/or maintenance providers to get needed paperwork or corrections on turned in paperwork.
  • Assist in keeping flight times and cycle information correct on aircraft, engines, and APU.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate
  • Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • Working knowledge of General Maintenance Manuals (GMM), CAMP, and Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Programs.
  • Experience supporting FAA audits, internal audits, or regulatory surveillance activities.
  • Hands-on experience with Required Inspection Item (RII) programs.
  • Demonstrated experience operating under 14 CFR Part 135 and/or Part 145 maintenance environments.
  • Authorization and competency to perform airworthiness release and return-to-service signoffs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing aircraft maintenance records and compliance tracking, including one or more of the following:
    • Airworthiness Directive (AD) tracking
    • Service Bulletin (SB) tracking
    • Life-Limited Part (LLP) tracking
    • FAA Form 337 documentation
    • Aircraft logbook research and reconciliation
    • Engine and APU historical records management
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
    • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment background screening and drug testing, with ongoing compliance with the company's Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
