Overview
We are seeking a customer-focused Proximity Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support for end users in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role is responsible for delivering high-touch IT support, resolving hardware and software issues, supporting executive leadership, and ensuring a seamless technology experience across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong desktop support expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite and remote technical support for employees, executives, and VIP users, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Deliver white-glove support to senior leadership and executive stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and discretion at all times.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues related to Windows and macOS operating systems, desktop applications, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requests through Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and mobile device management (MDM) platforms.
  • Support and maintain conference room technology, including Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, video conferencing systems, audio/visual equipment, and collaboration tools.
  • Perform computer imaging, deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
  • Coordinate hardware refreshes, software installations, upgrades, and equipment replacements.
  • Document incidents, service requests, and technical solutions within the IT service management platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and proactively address recurring technical problems.
  • Support office moves, new employee onboarding, and technology setup activities.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in desktop support, service desk, or end-user support within a large enterprise environment.
  • VIP/Executive support experience.
  • Desktop support experience with Windows, macOS, MDM, Active Directory, and O365.
  • Hands-on experience with computer imaging.
  • Proven experience supporting conference room and collaboration technologies, including Zoom or other video conferencing software.
  • Strong knowledge of desktop hardware, peripherals, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management best practices.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests and work effectively under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within large, complex enterprise IT environments.
  • Knowledge of endpoint management and device compliance solutions.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, ITIL, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting hybrid work environments and executive meeting support.
