Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Support Technician to support a large-scale IT deployment project within a healthcare environment. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on technical work, desktop support, and providing exceptional customer service to end users.

The technician will assist with the installation, configuration, and support of computers, peripherals, network resources, and communication devices across multiple locations. The role will involve supporting physicians, nurses, administrative staff, and other end users during facility build-outs and technology deployment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite desktop and technical support to end users
  • Install and configure desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, and other peripherals
  • Unbox, inventory, and deploy IT equipment
  • Set up and test workstation configurations
  • Perform hardware upgrades, replacements, and installations
  • Assist with computer imaging and device deployment activities
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Reset passwords and provide user account support
  • Configure network logins, mapped drives, and printer connections
  • Test and support VoIP phone installations
  • Assist users during system rollouts and go-live events
  • Organize deployment materials and assist with equipment staging
  • Document completed work and update ticketing systems appropriately
  • Communicate project progress, issues, and timelines to management and end users
  • Support additional IT initiatives, including testing, ticket resolution, and deployment activities
Required Qualifications
  • Experience providing desktop support or help desk assistance
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and operating systems
  • Knowledge of Windows 10/11 environments
  • Experience with software installation and application support
  • Familiarity with computer imaging and deployment processes
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations as needed
Project Scope

This deployment initiative includes:

  • Installation of approximately 730 desktop and laptop devices
  • Deployment of more than 700 peripherals, including monitors, keyboards, and scanners
  • Installation and testing of approximately 600 VoIP phones
  • Support of additional equipment, including fax machines and specialty devices
  • Workstation setup and deployment across multiple departments and facilities

This is a Contract position based out of Mansfield, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
