Job description

We're hiring an Imaging Support Specialist to assist our Imaging Department in delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care. This role supports Imaging Technologists by preparing rooms, assisting patients, and managing essential clerical and computer tasks. Your work helps ensure smooth imaging workflows and an excellent patient experience. This position is ideal for candidates interested in imaging, patient care, or healthcare operations.

What You'll DoPatient Care Support

Prepare imaging rooms and equipment to ensure safe, efficient exam readiness

Complete basic patient assessments, verify orders, and support patient preparation

Assist with patient lifting, transport, chaperoning, and monitoring

Explain imaging procedures to patients, families, and caregivers

Workflow & Department Support

Support Imaging Technologists to improve workflow efficiency and patient throughput

Maintain adequate supplies, linens, and stocked rooms Assist with patient registration and check-in

Participate in patient education and departmental quality initiatives

Operations & Collaboration

Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care

Follow departmental protocols, SOPs, and safety standards

Support MRI and radiation safety compliance

Uphold HIPAA guidelines and protect patient confidentiality

Systems & Administration

Enter and manage imaging data in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)

Perform basic computer tasks and maintain accurate documentation
