Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lobby Compliance Assistant who will support government affairs, lobbying compliance, client service, and administrative support for senior practice leaders.
The Lobby Compliance Assistant will play an important role in helping clients manage lobbying registration, reporting, and compliance obligations at the state and city levels. This is a strong opportunity for an early-career legal, compliance, public policy, or government affairs professional who enjoys research, organization, client communication, and working in a fast-paced professional services setting.
This position offers exposure to complex regulatory matters, direct interaction with clients, and the opportunity to work with experienced legal and government affairs professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day lobbying compliance reporting activities for clients, including tracking reportable lobbying activity and maintaining accurate records.
- Prepare and file lobbying registrations and bimonthly reports at the state and city levels.
- Communicate with clients by email and phone to gather information, answer questions, and coordinate compliance needs.
- Update and maintain compliance databases, spreadsheets, reference materials, and client files with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Research lobbying laws, regulatory developments, and compliance questions, then coordinate appropriate responses with internal team members.
- Provide administrative support to Government Affairs partners, including calendar management, meeting coordination, call screening, travel arrangements, agendas, and file organization.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $55,000 to $60,000 per year.
