Competitive Intelligence Analyst Job Description

The Competitive Intelligence Analyst is responsible for managing competitive intelligence research and projects, as well as analyzing, reporting, and presenting results. This position is responsible for supporting the company's growth, strategic planning and innovation needs through competitor and industry research.

Responsibilities
  • Manage key team deliverables including creation and posting of daily CI TEAMs analysis, administration and distribution of monthly CI report and organization and maintenance of Intelligence Hub and CI SharePoint sites
  • Complete custom, competitive intelligence research projects using established department protocols and approaches
  • Write easy-to-understand, organized and audience-appropriate competitive intelligence reports on research results in Word and PowerPoint
  • Serve as an internal competitive intelligence resource on competitor, industry and/or other research, including expertise on appropriate data sources, vendors, methodologies (qualitative and quantitative, secondary and primary), and be skilled at insights identification
  • Work with external vendors as needed to manage research projects and workflow, and ensure project requirements and quality standards are met
  • Work with internal clients, ensuring research meets the needs of the requestor and are presented and interpreted accurately
  • Support proactive cadence of competitive intelligence research activities for internal stakeholders; maintain competitive intelligence repository and ensure study documents are up-to-date and organized
  • Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience
  • 2 years of PBM industry experience including prior experience doing topic specific research and developing insights
  • Prior experience doing topic specific research and developing insights
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent reading comprehension and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to research, review and summarize complex subject matter, synthesizing key insightslushicks>
  • Demonstrated curiosity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software with strong Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills
  • Ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
  • PBM industry knowledge and experience
  • Prior newsletter, technical or professional writing experience
Minimum Physical Qualifications
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must be able to move or traverse
  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer and/or other office productivity equipment.
  • Must be able to hear and constantly communicate information and ideas. Must be able to exchange accurate information.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of time

Potential pay for this position ranges from $74,000.00 - $118,000.00 based on experience and skills.
