Job description

This position is responsible for driving the growth of LSS Trust Services by bringing in new partnerships and new Trusts. Successful candidates will be able to build long-term community partnerships with diverse stakeholders and provide accessible workshops on financial planning for individuals with identified needs & their families/guardians/representatives. This is a dynamic position that will operate with a lot of autonomy, work primarily out of the office, and be held accountable to a high standard of Customer Engagement & Acquisition. This individual needs to be a skilled relationship builder, adept at tailoring their message for widely different audiences (i.e. individuals with identified needs, case workers, families, attorneys, financial planners, etc.), and willing to set boundaries to maintain a clear focus on Line of Service growth.

This is a sales role that achieves its objectives by educating families & community members with the goal of bringing in the people for whom our products are a good fit

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, Disability Advocacy, Financial Planning or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience is required.
  • Demonstrated competence navigating CRM and other applicable software.
  • Minimum of two years of direct sales, financial planning, education, or disability services advocacy experience with a proven record of success in guiding decisions without decision-making authority.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, entrepreneur, and have the ability to work with little day-to-day supervision.
  • Must have a comfort level making “cold calls” to potential referral sources or clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A dedication to customer service.
  • Desire to work with a mission-driven organization to help improve the lives of older and/or vulnerable citizens of Minnesota.
  • Must be persistent in efforts, high emotional intelligence, adept at tailoring education to audience, and able to move relationships towards action. Must be an effective closer.
  • Experience speaking in public in front of executive teams and large audiences.
  • Experience working with emerging marketing alternatives.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of the mission of Trust Services and be able to communicate it clearly.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and teachability.
  • A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR).
