Summary/Objectiveย 

The Community Relations Specialists will serve as theย principleย ambassador for NorthShore with respectย forย delivering the organizationโ€™s vision within the community.ย ย 

The Community Relations Specialists willย be responsible forย cultivating community contacts to increase awareness and collaborative opportunity, as well asย manageย the organizationโ€™s public image. This will be achieved through attending established community events as well as any company events, networking, and working closely withย several teams within NorthShore Health Centersย to increase community knowledge of services offered in a targeted and effective manner with a goal of increasing patient visits daily.ย 

All in-house and community activities mustย support Northshoreโ€™s mission, core values, goal achievements, organizationalย qualityย and patient-centered medical home philosophy; and incorporate values of professionalism, respect, integrity, partnership,ย team workย and compassion.ย

Essential Functionsย 

  • Lead community marketing efforts, ensuring execution of strategies to improve market presence.ย 

  • Respond to requests for information or designate another appropriate spokesperson or information source.ย 

  • Assistย in planning and executingย special events.ย 

  • Develop public relations strategies that will influence public opinion or promote ideas,ย productsย and services.ย 

  • Provides targeted outreach in the form of education, social media, press releases, and participation in respective community activities and events.ย 

  • Facilitates ongoing communication with the community, media, clinical and administrativeย programsย and multiple stakeholders.ย 

  • On a daily basisย supports NorthShore Health Centers byย seeking, creating, andย maintainingย connections with organizations and businesses within the surrounding communities to partner with the organization in ways that promote our mission and grow our patient base and community reach.ย 

  • Support and contribute to safety and risk management efforts within NorthShore, by adhering toย establishedย policies and procedures,ย maintainingย a safe environment, promoting accident prevention, andย identifyingย and reporting potential liabilities to Communicationsย Manager and/or theย appropriate memberย of the management teamย immediately.ย
