Job description

Holder Construction is seeking a Community & Events Coordinator to support our MNO Data Center project in Monrovia, Indiana. This is an onsite, projectbased role focused on local community engagement, events, and coordination tied directly to active construction operations.
The position works closely with the project leadership team, client representatives, and local stakeholders to support community outreach, siterelated events, and daytoday coordination throughout the life of the project.
This is a handson role for someone who is organized, peopleoriented, and comfortable representing a large construction project in a smallcommunity setting.
 
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement & Local Outreach
  • Serve as Holder's onsite point of contact for community groups, neighbors, schools, chambers, and civic organizations related to the MNO project
  • Support community outreach efforts, local initiatives, and sponsorships connected to project activity
  • Coordinate site tours, community meetings, and outreach events as appropriate
  • Help foster and maintain positive relationships with local stakeholders throughout construction
Events & Project Coordination
  • Plan and support projectrelated events, including groundbreakings, milestones, ribbon cuttings, open houses, and community engagement events
  • Manage event logistics such as scheduling, vendors, catering, invitations, and onsite execution
  • Coordinate with project leadership, owner representatives, trade partners, and local officials as needed
  • Support accurate tracking and documentation of event and outreach activities
Communications & Documentation Support
  • Assist with local project communications in coordination with project leadership and the project owner
  • Prepare light materials for events and outreach (signage, agendas, handouts, talking points)
  • Track and organize records of community interactions, events, and outreach efforts
  • Provide summaries and basic reporting to project leadership and the project owner
Internal Project Support
  • Work closely with the onsite project team to align community and event efforts with jobsite operations
  • Support visits from Holder leadership, client representatives, and other stakeholders
  • Help ensure materials and messaging align with approved project standards and branding
  • Support planning and execution of intern and workforcerelated events, including site orientations and engagement activities
Qualifications & Skills
  • 2-5 years of experience in community relations, event coordination, operations support, communications, or a related field
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and followthrough skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and working independently in an active jobsite environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to support broader project and team needs as they arise
  • Comfortable interacting with the public and representing an active construction project
  • Experience with construction, large developments, infrastructure, or industrial projects is a plus
  • Familiarity with the Monrovia / Morgan County area is a plus
