Job description

Koniag Government Services company is seeking a Program Manager to support our government customer in Washington, DC. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt. Security Clearance. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Koniag Government Services is seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our team supporting the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). This key personnel position requires a dynamic leader who can effectively manage contractor personnel while ensuring successful program execution and client satisfaction. 

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Overall program management and supervision of contractor personnel
  • Development and management of work schedules and priorities
  • Resource allocation and personnel management
  • Regular communication and meetings with ATF stakeholders
  • Performance monitoring and quality assurance
  • Budget management and cost control
  •  Risk management and problem resolution
  • Ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Managing staff development and providing necessary tools for success
  • Coordinating with ATF for strategic planning and program execution

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and personnel management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in government contract management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Budget management and financial oversight experience
  • Risk management and problem-solving capabilities
  • Knowledge of federal contracting practices and procedures
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
  • Must be able to pass BATFE Clearance process
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt. Security Clearance.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • PMP or similar program management certification
  • Experience working with law enforcement agencies
  • Previous experience with ATF or similar federal agencies
  • Advanced degree in related field
  • Knowledge of ATF systems and procedures
  • Experience with staff development and training
  • Proven track record of process improvement implementation
  • Change management experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university/college (work experience may be substituted with prior ATF approval)

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 10+ years of recent relevant program management experience
  • Experience managing federal government contracts
  • Demonstrated track record of successful program delivery
