We are currently seeking a full-time, 9am - 7pm, Skill Builder to join our team at our Addiction and Recovery Center, located in West Lafayette, Indiana.


About the Role of a Skill Builder:

As a Skill Builder, at our Addictions and Recovery Center located in West Lafayette, IN, Indiana for 9am-7pm, you will be integral in providing behavioral therapy, intensive rehabilitation, wellness education and post-treatment support to individuals battling substance use disorders. You will be the catalyst to rebuild their lives. Our commitment to whole person healthcare and your desire to make our communities better will make us an amazing Team!


Skill Builder Key Responsibilities:

  • Counsel, monitor, and support individuals experiencing substance use and mental illness disorders
  • Evaluate, prepare, and implement case management plans
  • Organize and conduct client skills training and education groups
  • Assist with maintaining 24/7 staff coverage, including working other shifts as needed
  • Assess and monitor residents' behaviors and intervene as appropriate
  • Crisis intervention
  • Prepare and maintain written case records, reports and forms, including case follow-up and closing
  • Maintain Meridian Health Services standards, policies, procedures, and regulations in accordance with local, state and federal laws and with ethical standards of profession

What We’re Looking For in a Skill Builder:

We’re seeking compassionate, motivated individuals who are passionate about whole-person care and thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment. Experience in behavioral health or social services is a plus.

  • High school diploma or its equivalent with 2 years behavioral healthcare experience or equivalent college coursework toward a human services or health related degree required; Associate Degree preferred
