The Opportunity As Marketing and Communications Specialist, the successful candidate will support the internal IT Marketing & Communications team in multiple areas. Must be highly organized and ready to work independently in a very fast-paced environment. Must bring general marketing knowledge and show strength in Graphic Design, the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft 0365 suite of tools, with the understanding of marketing concepts, proofreading, digital solutions, employee engagement, culture/DEI, data and analytics. Candidate must learn the Abbott Brand guidelines and will assist in developing and maintaining various graphic design assets needed for our team and our internal Abbott IT customers. This role requires an understanding of multiple aspects of design, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective design solutions. What You'll Work On:
  • Graphic Design

  • Training documents: CBTs, Synthesia, Job Aids
  • Solution Design and Implementation:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
  • Implement and deploy design solutions that meet business needs and improve efficiency.
  • As a member of the IT Marketing and Communications team the candidate will also be trained across all functions including:
    • SharePoint Design
    • Project management
    • Proofreading
    • Writing
    • In-person event support
    • Promote a sense of belonging/culture
Education and Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent experience.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in Marketing and Communications with solid knowledge of general marketing concepts.
  • Proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft 0365 suite of tools for Graphic Design
  • Experience working in a corporate setting following strict corporate brand guidelines.
  • Extensive experience with Proofreading skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different digital solutions
  • Familiarity with employee engagement, culture, data and analytics.
