Description

EMCS, Inc. provides a wide range of civil engineering services including transportation engineering, structural engineering, traffic engineering, construction engineering, site development, environmental studies, and surveying. EMCS serves public and private clients in a variety of small and large-scale projects. The firm was founded in 1983 and has offices in Milwaukee, Wausau, and Madison, Wisconsin; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Bergland, Michigan.


EMCS is seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support project pursuits, business development, and firmwide communication efforts. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, creative professional who enjoys collaborating with technical teams, producing high-quality graphics, and contributing to both external communications and public involvement initiatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Study RFPs and work closely with engineering staff to develop, design, and produce compelling proposals, presentations, and interview materials
  • Provide writing, editing, and graphic design support for marketing, communications, and internal initiatives
  • Prepare graphics, exhibits, handouts, and presentations to support public involvement efforts, including public information meetings and community outreach
  • Curate and expand marketing information systems (proposal libraries, resumes, project descriptions, photography, graphics, etc.)
  • Track leads, relationships, and opportunities in the firm's CRM database 
  • Creatively administer the firm's website, social media channels, and content marketing efforts
  • Take the lead on special projects to support business development and employee engagement (i.e. holiday cards, awards nominations, campaigns, speaking engagements, team building, etc.)

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional marketing experience (AEC experience desired)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite (PC platform), including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Experienced in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) administration (Deltek preferred)
  • Proficient in website and social media content development and administration
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage multiple project tasks
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong business writing and editing skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
