Job Summary

The Agency Services Commissions Specialist II is accountable for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all aspects of commissions for our distribution partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a general understanding and working knowledge of Commissions procedures and regulations. This will include state regulations and accounting principles.
  • Review daily and monthly reports and takes immediate action to resolve any conflicts with agent data.
  • Interact with internal and external customers appropriately on an as-needed basis.
  • Participate in cross-training within the department.
  • Accept and own assigned project tasks; understands impact within the team or organization.
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned.
  • Contribute to deliverables by executing work and providing team members with appropriate status updates.
  • Provide feedback to managers regarding repeated errors and issues that could be related to system functionality or training.
  • Demonstrate risk awareness and the courage to speak up to facilitate immediate adjustments
  • Comprehension of accounting principles to assist in the research of errors and out of balance transactions.
  • Ensure individual quality and productivity standards are met.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • AA or BA degree preferred. Relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years office experience, in the insurance, or other regulated financial services industry; familiarity in dealing with state regulations, comissions, and other applicable requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); mainframe processing, and the ability to utilize dual monitors.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrates ability to build new skills and adapt to new ways of thinking.
  • Demonstrates the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develops and maintains purposeful, collaborative, and productive, team-driven relationships.
