Louisville Tile of South Bend is seeking an outside sales rep with local market knowledge to cultivate relationships with the Architectural and Design and Commercial community. The architectural account executive assists architectural and design professional customers with design and product selections to complete their projects. This position is responsible for building relationships within the marketplace that differentiate Louisville Tile by providing a world class and innovative solution-oriented customer experience. This position creates, executes, and tracks a results oriented strategic sales plan that will develop a geographic territory. The outside sales rep is responsible for identifying candidates within a market, prospecting, profiling, cultivating, and closing new clients. This position is responsible for hitting target metrics in activity, production, product diversification and penetration, customer service, and gross profit. Product knowledge and ability to sell consultatively will is required. The outside sales rep is responsible to acquire and exhibit a deep technical knowledge coupled with the highest integrity to create value for our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Recognize and develop relationships with new design firms.

Recognize and develop relationships with National Account specifiers.

Develop an assessment of the commercial market and a strategy for building relationships with A&D professionals who have the ability to specify and influence sales of Louisville Tile products.

Conduct continuing education programs and box lunches to provide education on product characteristics or new products.

Prospect for sales utilizing Dodge and other resources to gain knowledge of construction plans for the territory.

Maintain current product knowledge and manage sample tools at the branch.

Maintain sample libraries at design and architect firms, keeping current with the latest introductions and removing discontinued products promptly.

Answer phone calls and email in a prompt and professional manner.

Be an active member in professional industry organizations (such as IIDA, ASID, AIA, CSI).

Have the ability to work and travel independently.

Maintain the ability to lift and transport samples weighing up to 40 lbs.

Possess the ability to multi-task and have diligent follow up skills.

Participate in weekly job tracking meetings with the commercial team in the branch.

Utilize Salesforce.com as a territory management and job tracking tool.

Submit expense reports on a weekly basis.

Host events at the branch periodically and participate in local industry trade fairs.

Host plant tours as requested.
