Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrician with Solar PV and Battery Storage expertise to join our growing solar energy team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys troubleshooting, hands-on electrical work, and ensuring solar and battery systems are installed and operating to the highest standards.

As part of our dynamic team, you'll work closely with project managers, engineers, and installers to troubleshoot, install, and commission solar PV and battery storage systems, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot residential solar PV systems, including:
  • Enphase microinverters
  • SolarEdge inverters
  • String inverter systems
  • System communication and monitoring issues
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting
  • Install, wire, and commission: Solar PV systems
  • Battery Backup and Energy Storage Systems (ESS) - Enphase, Franklin, Tesla, SolarEdge, Sunpower, etc.
  • Balance of system electrical components in accordance with NEC and manufacturer specifications
  • Perform site surveys and assist with system design layouts
  • Operate drones for aerial site documentation (training provided if needed)
  • Assist with material procurement and project planning
  • Support quality control and final system commissioning

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional electrical experience
  • At least 2 years of hands-on solar PV installation experience
  • Minimum 2 years of battery storage system experience
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and plans
  • Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) as it relates to solar and energy storage
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Skills

  • Bilingual - Spanish/English
  • OSHA Certification
  • Forklift Certification
  • Valid Driverโ€™s License with a clean driving record (5 years preferred)
  • Reside within a 30-minute commute to Simi Valley, CA
  • Ability to relocate to Simi Valley prior to starting (if applicable)
