Is a $100 commission job worth it?

A $100 commission job can be worth it if the sales volume and profit margins justify the effort, but it depends on the industry, product, and individual performance. Such roles often require strong sales skills and may involve variable income, so evaluating potential earnings against time and effort is important. Overall, the value depends on the opportunity to earn commissions consistently and the job's other benefits or requirements.

The main difference between a Commission Retainer and a Sales Representative is the payment structure. A Commission Retainer receives a fixed fee plus commissions, while a Sales Representative typically earns commissions only. The retainer provides income stability, whereas the sales role is more performance-based. Both roles are common in sales-driven industries, but their compensation models and work arrangements differ significantly.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

A Commission Retainer role typically involves earning income through commissions or retainers, which can sometimes reach $4,000 weekly for high-performing sales or brokerage positions. Such roles often require strong sales skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to build client relationships, with income largely dependent on performance rather than formal education.

What job pays the highest commission?

In sales roles such as real estate agents, financial advisors, and high-end luxury car salespeople, commissions can be very high, often reaching 10% or more of the sale price. Commission retainer jobs typically offer a base salary plus a percentage of sales, with top performers earning substantial commissions based on their sales volume and value.

What is the difference between retainer and commission?

A commission retainer is a payment structure where a worker receives a fixed fee upfront to secure ongoing services, often with additional commissions based on performance or sales. In contrast, a commission is a payment based solely on the amount of sales or results achieved, with no guaranteed upfront fee. Both methods are common in sales and consulting roles, and understanding the structure helps clarify compensation expectations.

Job description

Description

Part of Carazo Enterprise SL - a premium cigar distribution company operating since 2012 across 5 international hubs (Madrid, Marbella, Gran Canaria, Panama, Costa Rica). We represent 30+ premium brands distributed across the EU, Latin America, and growing fast in the US market.ย We're expanding in Florida and looking for the right sales reps in Orlando who know the market, own the relationships, and are ready to grow them.

This is not a training role. We need someone who can walk into a cigar shop, shake the right hand, and close.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own and grow your territory across Orlando and the wider Florida market
  • Conduct 160+ in-person store visits per month - cigar shops, lounges, and tobacco retailers
  • Open new accounts and protect existing ones through strong, consistent relationship management
  • Deliver product presentations and sampling sessions directly in store
  • Keep HubSpot updated with visit notes, client details, and pipeline activity
  • Join two weekly team meetings (Monday and Friday) to align with the wider sales team

Requirements

  • 2+ years of B2B field/territory sales experience - physical products, face-to-face
  • Experience in tobacco, cigars, or premium/luxury consumer goods
  • Strong existing network of cigar shops, lounges, or tobacco retailers in Florida
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is a strong advantage
  • Valid US driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
  • Based in or near Orlando, FL
  • Comfortable working as an independent contractor with commission-based pay

Benefits

Your retainer is up to USD 1,500/month. Your commission is 15-20% on everything you sell. Top performers here earn well above the retainer - your territory, your results, your income.
