Job description

  • Position Summary

    The Inside Fleet Sales Representative is responsible for generating, managing, and closing fleet sales opportunities through inbound and outbound communication. This role focuses on building strong relationships with commercial clients, understanding business vehicle needs, and delivering tailored solutions that drive long-term partnerships and revenue growth.

    This position is primarily office-based and relies heavily on phone, email, and CRM engagement to support and grow the fleet customer base.


    Key Responsibilities
    • Manage inbound fleet inquiries and proactively generate new business through outbound calls, emails, and follow-ups
    • Build and maintain relationships with small-to-mid-sized business clients, municipalities, and commercial accounts
    • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate fleet vehicle solutions
    • Prepare and present quotes, bids, and proposals in a timely manner
    • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions in CRM (e.g., DriveCentric)
    • Coordinate with inventory, service, and upfit teams to ensure proper vehicle availability and customization
    • Follow up on open opportunities to drive deal progression and closure
    • Assist in coordinating vehicle deliveries and ensure a smooth handoff process
    • Stay informed on manufacturer incentives, fleet programs, and product updates
    • Support Fleet Manager with reporting, pipeline tracking, and account management

    Qualifications
    • Previous sales, BDC, or account management experience preferred (automotive or fleet experience a plus)
    • Strong communication skills (phone, email, and written)
    • Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain professional relationships
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
    • Proficient in CRM systems and basic computer applications
    • Self-motivated with a strong drive to meet and exceed targets
