Job description

Canyon Building & Design, LLC seeking an experienced Professional Commercial Construction Superintendent.

Responsibilities: The Superintendent, in partnership with the Project Manager, is responsible for the overall success of the construction project, by effectively managing the jobsite including subcontractors, quality control, safety, communication, record keeping, daily reports and creating and maintaining schedules and other duties.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience- 5+ years’ experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
  • Safety - Ability to manage the overall safety of the job site.
  • Schedule- Superintendent effectively manages the project schedule using Microsoft Project to meet milestones and completion date.
  • Communication & Management- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, architects and other project team members.
  • Site Administration & Logistics- Ability to manage relevant project records and reporting and ensure the logistics of the project support the schedule.
  • Problem Resolution - Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely, fair and responsible manner.
  • Computer Skills - Working knowledge of computer programs including: Excel, Word, Outlook and MS Project. ProCore experience a plus.
  • Successful Fast Track Projects Experience a PLUS!

Education & Preferred Qualifications: * Minimum of High school education or equivalent.

  • Positive, self-motivated construction professional
  • Completed OSHA 10 or 30-hour safety course; First Aid/CPR certification is a plus
